KARACHI: Sindh High Court (SHC) sent notices to the parties on petition filed by Barrister Ali Tahir to be disqualified of Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) MPA Jam Awais Bijar Khan, who was accused in Nazim Johio murder happening.
The Court requested their answers within three weeks and Jam Awais Goram, Speaker of Sindh Assembly Chapter secretary of Sindh and Electoral Commission made parties to the petition.
petitioner claimed that Khan paid Diyet (blood money) To family of dead in V murder case, but did not remain truthful and trustworthy after that. petitioner cited paragraph 53 of Pakistan Penal Code (CPC), which treats Diyet as a punishment.
Khan, who was elected like a member of Assembly of Sindh on PS-79 (Tatta-III) received official notice. in case. petitioner it was further alleged that the police failed to carry out a fair investigation due to the influence of accused.
Khan and his accomplices were booked in October 2021 for allegedly tortured activist Nazim Johio in order to death how he tried to stop their illegal hunting of bustard beauty, endangered species, in Memon Goth area of Karachi.
