Pak China military leaders repeat need for peacekeeping in region

RAWALPINDI: Main of Army Headquarters (COAS) General Asim Munir and Chinese Army Commander on Wednesday discussed issues of mutual security interests and military cooperation.

COAS, on V first day of his four day official visit to China, was warmly welcomed and introduced with guard of honor at PLA Army Headquarters. He looked deftly turned-out contingent, which was subsequently followed by a detailed meeting with commander of PLA Army, ISPR news release said.

In addition to discussing mutual security interests, both military commanders confirmed need for maintaining peace and stability in in the region and rise military To military cooperation.

General Asim Munir also witnessed a demonstration of operational capabilities of PLA troops. He praised the high standards of training and professionalism shown by the PLA soldiers.

COAS will hold additional meetings with Chinese military leaders to strengthen the long-standing relationship between the two armed forces.
