WHEN this dog owner adopted a young puppy, she was in for a big surprise when it turned into a different beast.
Pup Balto entered his owner’s lives as a small ball of fur who loved to play, but grew into a terrifying creature.
Balto’s owners shared a comparison of the fur ball when he was just a pup to his full grown size, and it’s shocking.
They posted on TikTok: “Oh my bad he grown!”
Rather than a “husky”, pup Balto grew into a wolf-like dog, and after a DNA test, his owners finally had answers.
The dog is 39 per cent grey wolf, 22.9 per cent Alaskan malamute, 17.5 per cent German shepherd, 14.8 per cent Siberian Husky and 5.8 per cent Samoyed.

Large pup Balto has amazed many on TikTok with his size and wolf-like features.
One said: “He is so beautiful I just love him! From a puppy to all grown up, he’s even more handsome.”
Another gawked: “Is he wolf or coyote?”
Other videos of the wolf dog show him playing with other normal dog breeds as if he was their size.
Another pet owner shared the shock she had after taking in a “stray” husky-like puppy which grew into something more deadly.
The canine’s owner showed off old clips of her adorable little fluffy pup before revealing what the beast looks like now – large and shaggy with menacing yellow eyes.
In other clips shared by the creator, she claims that Awilix is 80 per cent grey wolf, 10 per cent German Shepherd and 10 per cent Malamute.
The woman frequently caveats her videos with the warning: “Wolfdogs are not meant for the average person. While amazing animals they require special attention, care and training.”
Online users rushed to the comments to make jokes on the wolf-like animal.
“That’s ah wolf that ain’t no stray dog,” one writes.
