Memphis Grizzlies star Ja Morant shall be away from the staff for a minimum of two video games after video surfaced in a single day of the star showing to show a gun at a nightclub, the staff introduced Saturday.

The video circulated on social media Saturday morning following the Grizzlies’ 113-97 loss to the Denver Nuggets Friday evening.

Morant could be seen within the video displaying what seems to be a gun whereas dancing and not using a shirt on.
The NBA launched an announcement Saturday morning saying it’s wanting into the video.
“We are conscious of a social media put up involving Ja Morant and are investigating,” NBA spokesman Mike Bass stated, in response to ESPN.

The video appeared on social media days after a police report stated Morant allegedly uncovered a gun after punching a youngster “12 or 13 occasions” throughout a pickup basketball recreation final summer time.

In the report by The Washington Post, Morant reportedly punched a youngster within the head “12 to 13 occasions” in a pickup basketball recreation at Morant’s home.
According to the report, Morant went into his home after the altercation and emerged with a gun in his waist and his hand on the weapon.
Morant informed police he acted in self-defense and filed a police report after {the teenager} allegedly stated he would come again after the altercation and “gentle this place up like fireworks.”

That allegation adopted a earlier controversy involving Morant. The Indiana Pacers claimed that after an altercation between associates of Morant and the Pacers, a purple laser was pointed on the staff from an SUV that was carrying Morant, which the Pacers believed was a gun.
The NBA investigated the incident and located that no “particular person threatened others with a weapon.”
