QUETTA: Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) Pakistan Amir Sirajul Haq said on Saturday demand general elections in countries and called on all stakeholders to come together for development strategy for holding general elections to save the country going down in “complete chaos.’
Speaking at a press conference at the Quetta Press Club, Haq said that one Sardar of Balochistan, who was allegedly accused of killing three people, was released on on bail, but Maulana Khudayatur Rehman, leader of Khak Du Tehreek Balochistan was retained behind bar on false and unfounded accusations.
He said that one week the authorities were given an ultimatum for release of Maulana Hidayatur Rehman, adding that if he is not released, Jamaat-e-Islami will be free. of development of own future well of action. “Here are the faces changed rather than system, therefore JI was struggling change system. JI will change the economic system of country, root out interest systemend non-development expenses and protocols,” he said, adding that only a corruption-free party can end corruption.
He said that Maulana Fazlur Rehman had a long march and a sit-down in Islamabad against inflation, but now he kept silent about the rapid growth of inflation in a country. JI Ameer said that positions of Governors and deputy commissioners were a burden on national kitten, therefore, the constitutional amendments were required for abolition of posts of Governors and Deputy Commissioners.
JI leader said Balochistan was blessed with rich mineral resources, including gasoline, natural gas, uranium, gold, copper, etc., but the ratio of poverty, inflation and misery were higher than other provinces of a country. He said no foreign power was responsible for current awkward situation of province, and those elements were responsible of current situation in Balochistan who was in power since 1970, adding that Mengal, Jam, Bugti, who had private prisons and own courts, in power in Balochistan.
He said that Balochistan had become a volcano and sincerely steps were required be taken for referring to problems of V people of Balochistan.
On this occasion, JI Balochistan Amir Maulana Abdul Haq Hashmi, Quetta District Amir Hafiz Nur Ali, Dr. Ibrahim and others were also present.
